Upgrading from b20.1 to 1.1.x - now my static linking fails !

Why? 1.1 isn't an upgrade. You shouldn't install the CD first if you
intend to install the net release.

Why not just "install from internet"?

You could have chosen "dos text" when you did the install. Setup
asks you about that.
