ELF with cygwin? (correction)

This was a delusion, 'cause over PATH my old DOS-Programs of the same
name

were called and excecuted (properly).
Well, what file-formats are executed under w95-cygwin?
Has the magic number to be MZ ... PE ?
What about ld.so and so on?
