Ever wanted to cut out background noise when talking with others on Skype? Now it's possible!
NoiseGator is a light-weight noise gate application that routes audio through an audio input to an audio output. In real-time the audio level is analysed and if the average level is higher than the threshold the audio bypasses as normal. However, if the average level goes below the threshold, the gate closes and the audio is cut.
When used with a virtual audio cable it can act as a noise gate for a either a sound input(microphone) or sound output(speakers).
Can also be used to gate noise from your own mic or play your microphone through your speakers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Java 7 or higher for Windows.
- Java 6 or higher for Mac. Java 7 recommended.
- A virtual audio cable is required for use with VOIPs:
For Windows users I recommend the VB-Cable driver (http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/index.htm).
Mac users can use SoundFlower.

huismuis1995 Posted 2022年01月28日I have been using it for 2 day's and it just works. It does forget it's settings, but remembering 19DB gate 10ms attack and 30ms release for my settings isn't hard at all. I had to google on how to get it to hook on startup. So my verdict: It just works, it doesn't overload audiodxg.exe so it's (WORKING WITH DISCORD 2022!). No physical core delegation needed, no project lasso to "set affinity". It might have been neglected for a few years but it does the job it says it does, without the added bs other programs experience. AND IT'S FREE, TAKE THAT CRIPS.

napsterat Posted 2020年01月05日I am running this programms four hours during gaming sessions switching default audio devices and did not had any problems with the programm at all. Don ́t know what this 1 star rating user ́s are doing, the programm works fine without issues windows 10

werpderp Posted 2018年06月29日Dead app. Developer abandoned this project despite a major bug still being present where the app just shuts down and sends a pop-up that will exit any full screen app, making this practically unusable for more than a few minutes at a time. Very, very lazy. 0/10 dead and broken app
