I've used both PythonCard (which I love), and PyGame (also love).
PythonCard is great for making simple program interfaces, but for more
complicated tasks like a game, I'd say you could conceivably do it, but it
would take a lot of extra effort.
PyGame, on the other hand, is built for the purpose, and very easy to use
once you get the hang of it. And their email list is very active and
supportive.
