Hi,
just received
Traceback (most recent call last):
 File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/matplotlib/backends/backend_qt4.py", line 449, in edit_parameters
 fmt = "%(axes_repr)s (%(ylabel)s)" % ylabel
TypeError: format requires a mapping
should this postfix "% label" in line 449 be removed?
Cheers and thanks for the great work,
M.
PS: Why is there no subplots.svg (only icon in NavigationToolbar with only a .png version)
PPS: Another one caused by clicking the green flag icon ("Edit curves and ..") in NavigationToolbar
NotImplementedError: TransformNode instances can not be copied. Consider using frozen() instead.

Here is a quick-and-dirty way to do what you want:
d_full = np.empty(len(d) + 1)
d_full[:len(d)] = d
d_full[-1] = np.nan
As for testing for NaNs, use "np.isnan()". That returns a boolean array the
same shape as the input array (which can be used for boolean indexing).
However, if you really need the indices, then you can use
"np.nonzero(np.isnan(d_full))[0]". Note the use of "[0]" because np.nonzero
returns a tuple of information, but you usually only need the first one.
I hope that helps!

Dear all, I have a variable d which has several years plus 11 month data
(len(d)%12=11). so I want to append a NaN to the data so that it constitutes
complete
several years of data.
but I cannot use "d=np.concatenate(d,np.array(np.nan))" to finish this job.
another question, is there a simple function like is.Nan(ndarray) in numpy
to check the missing value? and how can I get the index of the missing
value?
Thanks a lot,
Chao

Great.
Ben, did you have any luck getting the 1.1.0 docs hosted in some temp location?

I just uploaded a Mac binary for 32-bit Python 2.7. I propose to leave it at that unless the 2.6 version is required for the release candidate.

I put up a Mac installer for Python 2.7. It passed all unit tests but
I've not done anything else with it. If you need an installer for 2.6 I
can do that as well, but was hoping to wait for the final.

lib/mpl_examples/ is a symbolic link to examples. It is there because of

Ok, so here they are:
- what's the difference between examples/ and lib/mpl_examples/ dirs?
diff says they are identical, but maybe there's a reason there are 2
copies of them. If not, maybe you can remove one, so to reduce
confusion :)
- the tarball has grown a lot in size, ~3 times, but in the changelog
there's no mention of the reason of this growth (baseline images for
testing)
- the doc generation stops at thumbnails regen, it seems 'thumbnails'
dict is empty and so it stucks there.
If you want me to do any tests, just ask me.

Ahh, yes, I would have seen that if I had read Sandro's link to the
end. Must read more carefully. Thanks.

matplotlib-1.1.0.win installers are at
<http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/#matplotlib>. They were built
against numpy 1.6.1.

Thanks, missed that. Christoph and Russell, will you have a chance to
build some binaries we can upload for testing? Once this is done, we
should announce to the user list.

It was announced here:
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=28136691
I'm testing the debian package and I'll follow up with my thoughts on
it when done.
Cheers,

Hey Ben,
You haven't announced or posted an rc tarball for testing yet have
you? Would you like me to do this? Are we holding on anything before
putting out something for general testing?

I have a pull request for this here:

This is all fine. I just wanted to make sure that the documentation on
the web got squared with the current state of things.

This was discovered and fixed in master a couple of months ago.
Essentially, any example that did "if __name__ == '__main__'", then they
never got rendered by the doc builder, and no message is emitted to the
builder.
The upcoming release (just cut a RC this morning) has the new sankey module
and several fully working examples.
Cheers!

Possible bug report:
"Exception occurred rendering plot."

I marked it release_critical nonetheless, since I think we can expect
downstream packagers and users to want the tests to pass.

Fix in https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/pull/490
The uninitialized memory being written to disk sometimes contained NaN
values, and the test failed since NaN != NaN.
