Having a Choas Engineering Hackathon is such a great initiative - I loved the format used by Gousto, where each team gets a broken environment (the team can pick the difficulty level) to debug and fix. It requires some preparation to run well (check out their lessons learned), but I can see how many companies can steal this format and play with it.

Ryan Dawidjan writes a journal so you could pick behind the curtain and see what he's learning on the go. I love the format, and there are so many incredible takeaways to take from it. For example, check what Ryan wrote under "November 10th, 2018". There is plenty to learn from each other. We don't need to pay a tax for trying to be perfect. Skim the doc and see what feels interesting to you. Maybe this would inspire you to start journaling.
