This year, the Nominations and Elections Subcommittee of the IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) has called for nomination of new IFS-TC members (by September 30) and the new IFS-TC Vice Chair (by October 20). The nomination material for both calls shall be submitted to the IFS Nominations and Elections Subcommittee (email alias: ifs-election@ieee.org) by the corresponding deadline.
Proposals for special sessions at WIFS 2019 to complement the regular technical program are welcomed.
A special session consists of at least 3 and up to 6 papers, with a unifying theme that focuses on fields of special and emerging interest to the information forensics and security community.
Proposal Submission: Prospective organizers of Special Sessions should submit
proposals with the following information:
In recent years the ubiquity of mobile computing platforms such as smartphones and tablet devices has rapidly increased. These devices provide a range of interaction in an untethered environment unimaginable a decade previously. With this ability to interact with services and individuals, comes the need to accurately authenticate the identity of the person requesting the transaction, many of which may carry financial or legally-binding instruction.
In the last decade, a large number of techniques have been proposed to ensure integrity and authenticity of data in security-oriented applications, e.g. multime-dia forensics, biometrics, watermarking and information hiding, network intrusion detection, reputation systems, etc.... The development of these methods has re-ceived a new boost in the last few years with the advent of Deep Learning (DL) techniques and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs).
