This software is part of the GNU Project.
The GNU diffutils are comprised of diff, diff3, sdiff, and cmp, utilities for showing differences between files. The manual also documents patch, which uses diff output to update files. At present, the patch source is maintained in a separate savannah project.
We'd like to add the wdiff and patch utilities, as well as maintain the utilities more actively. If you can volunteer to help with this, please talk to us on the mailing lists.
