IARC and Campus Tours
Guided tours of SAR’s Historic Campus and our Indian Arts Research Center provide a behind-the-scenes look at the storied grounds and the rich collections of Native American art.
Indian Arts Research Center Tour
The IARC houses an outstanding collection of Native American art, including pottery, jewelry, textiles and clothing, paintings, basketry, and drums. With a collection of over 12,000 items, the IARC is home to significant historic creative works as well as contemporary pieces by globally recognized native artists including Lucy Lewis, Maria Martinez, Mateo Romero, Lonnie Vigil, and many others. Tours give visitors an up-close look and unique view of one of the world’s finest art collections. Beginning in February 2026, Vault 2 will be closed to visitors, due to the planned renovation of IARC. Tours of the collections will be limited to only Vault 1.

Free for Native Americans; Free for SAR members. Educators Discount: 50% discount for Santa Fe public school educators with ID. SNAP/EBT Discount: Those receiving SNAP benefits who have an EBT card and matching personal ID can purchase up to four 3ドル tickets.

The IARC offers unique tours for school groups of all ages and opportunities for Native community members to access the collection.
Historic Campus Tour
Explore the fascinating history, stunning architecture, and beautiful outdoor gardens—including the famous pet cemetery—of the 1920s home of Amelia Elizabeth White andMartha Root White. The secluded estate, formerly known as "El Delirio" (The Madness), isnow the campus for SAR, a research center for anthropologists, archaeologists, andartists.Tours may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling in case of inclement weather.
