simple chat... not working. can't find file.

So I have written what I think is a really simple chat program. It works fine running locally on my computer, but on my VPS it doesn't work. Always throws up an error saying file not found when it attempts to open the text file. The file is definitely there. I thought it might be a permissions issue, but the chat.txt file has full permissions. And like I said, it runs fine locally.

Here is the code:


[beginning]

open "chat.txt" for input as #readchat

input #readchat, newinput$

print newinput$

close #readchat

input chat$

open "chat.txt" for output as #writechat

print #writechat, chat$

close #writechat

goto [beginning]



end

Nevermind guys.. I figured it out.

Also I realize my code is terrible. I mostly fixed it.
