downloaded projects

New user of runbasic. Bought the server yesterday. I have downloaded serveral projects, unzipped them to .....rb101/projects but several don't show up in the load list in the IDE and some that do don't make any attempt to load or run. I have tried copying in the "workingversion.xml" file from other projects -editing it to reflect proper project name. Didn't help.
I have noticed the downloaded project have 755 permissions while the exisiting projects have 733. I have changed the download project permissions to the same as the rest but that didn't help either.
Is there any better editors that work on linux (editor with search & replace, etc) or is runbasic 2 going to have a better one? ETA of v2?
