Hi Everyone,

I have just recently picked up RunBasic and find it very interesting for a idea I have for a web application.

The problem I am experiencing is what I should be using a Sub or a Function and what the difference are?

In general they are very similar, the only difference is that a subroutine doesn't return a value, whereas a function does.

Thank you for your explaination Stefan. Can functions only return numeric values or can it return strings too?

Both is possible, see Function Fundamentals.

You might be interested in Subroutines and Gosubs too.

Sure this is for Liberty BASIC, but the basics of both languages are the same.

This helped alot, I wasn't returning a string using the dollar sign.
