There are free versions for Linux and Mac, so there is a registered version for those systems too.

Don't know how Carl handles this.

Thanks, I figured as much, but didn't see them as an option to download.

If I make the purchase, do I get the ability to run it on my Linux box and my Mac (which I use for doing the actual design), or do I need to buy a Mac and Linux version?

You can download the free editions from the home page at runbasic.com/.

You will have to get a registered version of the other systems to take full advantage of the included server.

You need to contact Carl directly for the ordering link for other systems than Windows.
Easiest is to use the About Us page of the home page.

I see if I go to purchase Personal Server it just shows "for Windows". Is there not a version for Mac or Linux yet?

My eventual plan is to run this on my work Ubuntu server.

Here is the ordering link for Linux.

And for the Mac.
usd.swreg.org/cgi-bin/s.cgi?s=3043&p=3043-rbosx&q=1&v=0&d=0

Thanks Carl! The link for Mac shows all three. :)

Oh wait, no, it looks like this just adds them to my cart. Now I have all three in my cart and I can't change the quantities to "0" on any of them... Sheeesh.. Maybe it's Google Chrome on my Ubuntu box that's doing it. I'll switch to the Mac and see if it does the same thing...

Ah, figured out how to zero out the quantity by choosing "Other" lower in the quantity numbers.

My homepage is running the personal server and is hosted by RunBASIChosting.

RunBASICnet is discontinued and RunBASIChosting is its replacement.

The runbasic.com homepage is run privately by Carl at home using the personal server.

If you like a hosting service use RunBASIChosting, if you like to have your own server at home use the personal server license.

There have been no other features included in both hosting services, which are not available through RB personal server.

The only difference is that the hardware is located in a data-center instead of your living room.

In addition you do not have to take care about keeping the system up 24/7.

Check out the RB hosting service for their offers.

I am trying on Firefox (latest ver.) and get an error code "Cannot Connect".
And same on IE 7.

I fooled with the ports - 8000, 8080, 8008 to no avail.
What is the point of this 'server connect'?
I have a paid for version of Liberty BASIC that directs me to Run BASIC to get an application to run on line. I jump through all the hoops and get the boot.

I am a beginner with BASIC but know other languages that go online instantly, like JavaScript and CSS.
I don't see how anyone gets BASIC apps to work using a webpage.
