How ProofRoom works

ProofRoom replaces the email thread that many studios still use to sell prints. The workflow runs in four steps.

First, the photographer uploads culled JPEGs straight from editing software. Second, the studio sends a single gallery link, with no account to create and no files for the client to download. Third, the client stars favorite frames and builds an order from the studio's custom price sheet. Fourth, paid orders route automatically to connected labs with the specifications attached, so the studio is not re-keying sizes and finishes by hand.

The whole selling motion (choosing, ordering, and paying) collapses into one shared link, which is the core idea ProofRoom is built around.

Who ProofRoom is built for

ProofRoom is aimed at solo portrait photographers and small teams, roughly one to five people, running anywhere from 40 to 500 or more sessions a year.

The common thread is portrait, senior, and family work, where clients pick their favorites from a shoot and order prints, rather than high volume event or stock shooting. If a studio currently sells prints over email attachments and manual invoices, ProofRoom is pitched as the tool that folds selecting, ordering, and paying into a single client-facing gallery.

Plans and pricing

ProofRoom lists three monthly plans on its site. Solo Studio is 29ドル a month, framed for studios running up to about 120 sessions a year. Busy Studio is 59ドル a month, aimed at senior season and heavier weekend blocks. Studio Team is 119ドル a month, for multiple photographers and staff sharing the same catalog.

Across all three plans, ProofRoom states that it takes no percentage of print sales. The studio keeps its full markup, and the flat monthly fee is the cost. That is a different model from proofing tools that clip a commission off each order, and it is a point ProofRoom makes on its own pricing page.

The figures ProofRoom publishes

ProofRoom backs its pitch with numbers on its own site. It reports 268 paying US studios across 32 states, a 412ドル median print order value in 2025, and 4ドル.2 million in total client orders placed through the platform that year.

On the workflow side, ProofRoom says 92 percent of galleries receive their first stars within 72 hours, and that studios recover an average of 11 hours a month once the back and forth moves into the gallery. These are ProofRoom's own published figures, quoted here as the company states them, not measurements taken by this leaderboard.
