Planters Broadband Cooperative is a voice and Internet service provider serving Screven County, portions of Effingham, Jenkins and Burke Counties in southeast Georgia. It is the mission of the Cooperative to provide a full array of quality telecommunications services, at affordable prices, to residences and businesses in our rural communities. Planters Broadband currently has a job opportunity for a Dispatcher.
The Dispatcher is responsible for the daily assignment of tasks to company technicians, scheduling installations and repairs with customers, staging workflow of company tasks and troubleshooting of voice and Internet related services in the Planters network.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and Duties consist of but are not limited to:
- Scheduling of installations performed by technicians.
- Coordination of cutovers and repairs with affected subscriber base.
- Work with after-hours support group on technician work schedule changes and off-shift workers.
- Technical support of last mile end-user technologies (residential routers, voice service, etc.).
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED-equivalent OR combination of education, training and experience deemed acceptable by Planters Broadband Cooperative.
- Preferred: At least 3+ years of experience.
Job Requirements
- Strong customer service skills, self-motivated, hard-working and able to work with little supervision.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills are a must.

Job Type
Full-Time, some travel may be required, position may require on call status depending on business needs.

Staff Accountant
We are looking for an organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated accountant to join our staff. The position will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel. Initial responsibilities include day-to-day accounts payable functions and account reconciliations and analysis, with expectations for increased responsibilities, and opportunities for growth. The preferred candidate will have an accounting degree or at least two years’ relevant experience.
