A seat represents either an activated user or a connector in your CloudConnexa environment. A connector is a piece of software or a device that creates an always-on connection to make internal services (like networks or servers) accessible. For example, if you have 3 team members (including yourself) and 2 connectors running, you’ll need 5 seats in total. Each provisioned user or active connector consumes one ‘seat’.

Not all users consume a seat. A seat is only consumed when a user's account status is active, meaning they can connect and use the service. Users who are still in the created or invited states, or whose accounts are suspended, do not consume a seat.

Yes. Once a connector is created, it immediately consumes a seat; its online or offline status does not change this. If you want a connector to stop consuming a seat, its status must be set to suspended.

On the Free plan, you have 5 seats. Need more? Upgrade to a higher-tier plan to add additional seats. On paid plans, you can add seats anytime by purchasing more. You can also enable seat-usage notifications to get a heads-up as you approach your limit. Until you add seats or upgrade, new user or connector invites will be paused.

Yes, you can add more seats at any time without changing your current plan. When you increase the number of seats mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the additional seats based on the time remaining in your current billing period. Your plan tier (e.g., Essential or Premium) stays the same, and the new seat total will apply immediately.

Yes, you can activate a 14-day free trial of either the Essential or Premium plan (one trial per account). You’ll be able to explore the full features of the selected plan before committing to a purchase. Trials may be started during your first plan selection.

Only if you entered your payment method when starting the trial. If no payment method was provided, you won't be charged automatically. You'll need to manually upgrade to continue using paid features.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade between plans at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades are scheduled for the next billing cycle.

Yes, you can switch between monthly and yearly billing cycles. Yearly plans offer an additional term discount compared to monthly rates. Changes take effect in the next billing cycle unless you're changing from a monthly term to a yearly term at checkout.

Yes. In CloudConnexa, every subscription is associated with a specific Cloud ID (e.g., company_name.openvpn.com). Each Cloud ID can begin on the Free plan and can be upgraded as needed. Although a single Cloud ID cannot have multiple subscriptions, you may create multiple Cloud IDs. Each Cloud ID can then have its own subscription type and seat count, allowing you to manage separate environments with different needs.

You can cancel or downgrade your subscription from the My Subscriptions page. The action takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will retain access to your plan features until then.
