Add support for venv-based test run with tox. * Adds tox config - based on the config from python-quantumclient and updated for test, pep8 and coverage execution as per nova's run_tests.sh. * Adds nosetests defaults in setup.cfg * Adds runtime dependencies in tools/pip-requires - dependencies were gathered by referencing the packages used in creation of a Swift All In One. CI: Fix our usage of tox For tox 3.x and earlier, passenv was a space-separated list; as of tox 4.0.0, it's comma-separated. For a while, our spaces would be silently included in the now-one-and-only passenv value parsed (which wasn't great, but mostly just caused confusion) -- as of tox 4.0.6, however, it became a hard error, and all tests would fail like pass_env values cannot contain whitespace, use comma to have multiple values in a single line, invalid values found 'SWIFT_* *_proxy' Unfortunately, we don't really know what versions of tox all our various stakeholders might want/need to use (though we previously set a minversion of 2.3.2). Update hacking to 0.10.0 Replace the whitelist of flake8 checks (select) with a blacklist (ignore). It makes possible to disable a single check, which was not possible before. This new approach permits to enable new tests more easily and see which checks are currently disabled. Only new checks are disabled, this change doesn't run less checks than before. Currently, many checks are disabled, but following changes will fix these new warnings. When the "select" option of flake8 is used in tox.ini, the "ignore" option is ignored. It is not possible to use "select" and "ignore" options at the same time. See the code in pep8 (flake8 is based on pep8): https://github.com/PyCQA/pep8/blob/d48eef071003952ed0f98445dc3dc6bc29618f9c/pep8.py#L1808 The purpose of flake8 is to enhance the coding style, but also to help to detect common bugs. This change permits to use pbr 1.0 and newer which is required to support Python 3. Previously, hacking 0.8.1 was used, but hacking 0.8 is incompatible with pbr 1.0 and newer (hacking 0.8 requires pbr<1.0). pbr 1.0 is required to use environment markers on requirements to install dnspython on Python 2 and dnspython3 on Python 3. CI: Fix our usage of tox For tox 3.x and earlier, passenv was a space-separated list; as of tox 4.0.0, it's comma-separated. For a while, our spaces would be silently included in the now-one-and-only passenv value parsed (which wasn't great, but mostly just caused confusion) -- as of tox 4.0.6, however, it became a hard error, and all tests would fail like pass_env values cannot contain whitespace, use comma to have multiple values in a single line, invalid values found 'SWIFT_* *_proxy' Unfortunately, we don't really know what versions of tox all our various stakeholders might want/need to use (though we previously set a minversion of 2.3.2). We might be able to spread values over multiple lines to make it compatible with both tox 3 *and* tox 4, but I'm fairly certain *_proxy was only included for some variables that are recent versions of tox include by default anyway, so just increase our minversion (which was too low, anyway -- allowlist_externals which we already configure was added in 3.18.0) and get rid of *_proxy. FWIW, python-swiftclient was already specifying 3.18.0 as a minversion, so I expect the new minversion to not be a problem. Also, add ./.functests to a bunch of allowlist_externals, as newer tox is more strict about that sort of thing. Drop skipsdist in a bunch of places so we can import swift from func tests and docs.
