I haven't been to Suva in years but when I was there I cried when I had to return to the US. The people were friendly and humble. I was invited to weddings and villages by taxi drivers and the people working at the hotel before the week was up. I felt incredibly safe. The natural beauty was outstanding. There was a plethora of things to do, the hiking, the incredibly friendly villagers , the snorkeling and the Indian food. I do not know if things have changed for the worst since that time but I always wanted to go back and live there. I suppose it's worth a visit now.
