I didnt like it; I've been scammed by a woman named Nahid, appears helpfull and sweet but watch out !! She's on Air BnB and presents herself as a fighter for women rights; but she took advantage of me being alone and scared af when I was there and I trusted her too much but my intuition clearly knew, but when I realised that it was too late and I paid her a lot of money; I felt ashamed and stupid about this but I learned not to pay too long in advance for shitty overpriced apartments. Pondi is a place to check out in a day or 2-3 and that's that. Not a huge fan of Auroville either but it is something to do when you're around. I did love driving the scooter in Pondi and I met a wonderfull born-there-but-Tibetan woman who has an Ashtanga Yoga shala there. Feel free to ask if you need more details about the area and stuff.
