Hoothoot (JPJapanese: ホーホー
Romaji: Hoho) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon that made its first appearance in Pikachu's Rescue Adventure before debuting in the second generation games Gold and Silver. It evolves into Noctowl at level 20.

- In Fighting Flyer with Fire, Falkner's Hoothoot stands on both legs, even though Hoothoot supposedly only ever stands on one leg at a time.
- In Nintendo Power V134 , Ken Sugimori stated in an interview that Hoothoot is his favorite Pokémon because he had a pet bird as a child that would stand on one foot.
