A simple module which provides a block which allows you to select 2 of the existing blocks: a default block and a scheduled block. During the scheduled time the block will display the scheduled block. The rest of the time it will display the default block.
Typical use case:
You have a home page block which typically displays a list of the most recent news items (defined as a Views block). But for the next week you want to show a banner ad which highlights an upcoming event (an ad block or custom user block with a jpg).
- simply set the banner ad as the scheduled block and select the start and end date/times for it to show
- set the default block as the Views block which you have set to show recent news
- define Scheduled Block to replace the Views block in that region on your home page
Haven't spent too much time testing this yet; but at first glance it seems to work. I likely need to manage block titles better.
@TODO - would be nice to be able to create multiple "scheduled blocks".
