Add topicThe CSS that makes the wikitext <div id="hideTOCnumbers">__TOC__</div> in Terms of use and Wikimedia Foundation Legal department/2023 ToU updates/Proposed update function is going to be removed soon (from MediaWiki:Common.css).
The wikitext can be replaced with {{nonumtoc}}__TOC__ for the same effect (removing the TOC numbers) on this wiki. On Some Other Wikis e.g. foundation.wikimedia.org, you would need to copy the relevant templates (which would be {{nonumtoc}} and {{nonumtoc/styles.css}}).
I'd like to make the change directly, but the proposed update page is being watched closely right now and I see at least one "don't do that" in the page history. I also have a suspicion the actual draft is being managed privately offwiki anyway, so there's no guarantee my change would make it into that copy... and then I'd be bothering a WMFer about that instead :).
