Hello,

I would like to start working on the sbl again but that is so much more easy with the Global Rollback. I'm requesting my global rollback back after I resigned a time ago. I hope you grant it to me again so I can work on the sbl. thnks, Huib talk 08:59, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for Hoo man

Status: Done

First, I have to say that this is my second attempt to become a global rollbacker, my first request has been declined because of missing experience which I (in my opinion) have gained since then.

I'm active in the SWMT and it would be quit usefull to have global rollback (using undo or edits with &oldid isn't realy fast and captchas are even more annoying...). I already have those rights in de, simple and enwiki, so I know how to use them. - Hoo man 17:58, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks to everyone - Hoo man 10:33, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Oppose Oppose - Blocked on a (major) wiki is a no go for me when someone asks for a global permission. -Barras 16:11, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose Oppose. You're clearly capable of contributing constructively (you were Painoväri, right?), but I'm afraid for someone with a history of vandalism and sockpuppetry I would expect to see a long period of solid editing before supporting global rights. It would help your case if you stopped socking at fiwiki and concentrated on the good work you're doing elsewhere. Jafeluv 16:46, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes see and ill stop it at moment my block(whihc one vandal admin gave) is removed. --Juhko 16:48, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for D100a

I have over 7000 edits in the Finnish Wikipedia. I've made a few edits to other projects such as the English Language and have uploaded some pictures of Commons. I have worked on Wikipedia a little more than two years. D100a 06:28, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't look like you've actually done much in the way of cross-wiki antivandalism work yet, though. Perhaps you should consider joining the SWMT first and trying it for a bit? Kylu 06:38, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Oppose - No crosswiki activity. I don't think you're ready for this global flag. -Barras 09:50, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
It is possible that, if necessary, I could use this right other than those which I have been active. My username is currently in use in 40 different projects. I visit a certain number of occasions because of editing the articles and watched how they have been in other projects have been implemented. So do I need to refer elsewhere. D100a 19:36, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
  • How about requesting rollback in fiwiki? You're obviously experienced enough, it's been a long time since your first request was denied in 2009, and you're now a pretty active vandal fighter there ([1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], ...) I see no reason why you couldn't be given local rollback rights. Jafeluv 00:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
I have applied for one-time Finnish Wikipedia returner rights or tools. Though it was rejected by only one operator of treating the negative at the moment. I have not applied for its comical those rights because I believe that although the fight against vandalism so diligently in the search process is too straightforward. Oen really motivated to use all the other language versions [9] . I am grateful if you look at trust in order to evaluate. D100a 15:39, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose - Like others have said, I do not feel you have enough cross-wiki experience. Additionally, being denied rollback on a local project raises concerns for me. Tiptoety talk 05:15, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
In all fairness, the rollback denial is from 2009, from a time when D100a was much less involved in vandal fighting than he is now, and the only reason for it was lack of activity in that area (link). I agree about the crosswiki experience, though. Jafeluv 17:04, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose; per above. –BruTe talk 06:42, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose Denied application in our wiki and I think he might misuse the right. Sovereign92 16:46, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose Too many valid concerns expressed I'm afraid. --Herby talk thyme 16:49, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose Per above. Concerns with fairly limited cross wiki experience. -FASTILY (TALK) 18:34, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
    • Not done I'm sorry, but there is no consensus to apply the global rollback maintenance toolkit to you, D100a, at this time. A number of users provided some excellent constructive criticism; following their advice and gaining more experience on your home wiki will go a long way in demonstrating both your enthusiasm and your ability to help out in other areas of the greater wikipedia project space. Thank you for volunteering! -- Avi 17:48, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
      • That's OK this time, I'm disappointed so many times that tired to worry about a few slight doubt or criticism. They feared that their own skills in favor? On the other hand so many voted against, why is it about 8000 edits should be some kind of warranty expertise?Goodbye old friends D100a 19:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Global rollback for I-20

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

I think that things have changed since my last request. I sometimes do tasks on behalf of the SWMT, have adminship on the Lojban Wiktionary, have rollback at the English and Simple English Wikipedia, reviewer on the English Wikibooks and English Wikipedia, importer at the English Wikibooks and rollback on the Simple English Wiktionary. Cheers, I-20 the highway 23:49, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your interest in the tool, however, I hardly see any cross-wiki anti-vandalism work in your contributions. Please consider becoming more active in the SWMT and requesting a couple of months later after you gain more experience. Best regards, --Mercy 11:44, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Have to agree with Mercy here. Being trusted in multiple projects is good, and adminship in a small wiki a definite plus, but I'm not really seeing that much small wiki countervandalism work where GR tools would be useful. Jafeluv 12:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
I'll retract this them. I hope to be more active as time permits, though. The best thing is that 95% of the time I don't need to fill out CAPTCHAs. I-20 the highway 19:43, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Requests for global sysop permissions

Global sysop for Kanjy

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Status: Done

Although I am not a very active SWMT member, I sometimes have to ask stewards for emergency actions. I wish I can help out some of such actions to counter cross-wiki vandals/abusers/spammers.

I have been a Global-Rollbacker for a year, and a Sysop at jawiki for 4 years. Now I am a Sysop/Bureaucrat at some Japanese wikis (jawiki, jawikt, etc.), and a CheckUser at jawiki. I think I am familiar with our Global sysops policy because I have proofread every version of the translated policy in Japanese and I have updated myself with the original policy.

I hope I will have very few chances to use the global sysop tools. Thank you. --Kanjy 17:56, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Done per clear consensus. --Mercy 14:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Global sysop for Striker

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

Considering I have been a sysop in my local wiki for a while and that I like to help fighting against vandalism, doing it actively, I think there would be no problem with me also having access to the tools in the other small wikis because those tools would help me to revert vandalism and stop obvious vandals faster. However, I hope I'll have very few chances to use the tools.

Somehow I'm not sure if I should have made this request now or contribute some more and wait a few months before requesting. If that's the case, I'll do so.

Thanks for your consideration.

Striker 18:24, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

At the moment, I don't really see a lot of cross-wiki vandalism fighting. Have you considered helping out with SWMT? Also, if you're going to do any work with global permissions, you may want to try to complete (via usurpation if need be) your global account attachments. Best of luck! Kylu 19:28, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
I think option 2 would we better (do s'more, come back later) Seb az86556 20:35, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
