From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Bridges across Cultures was an initiative to explore other cultures by writing articles about them in your own language, while speakers of the other languages write about your culture. Three editions were held in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The languages were restricted to languages of Western Asia and North Africa, Latin America, and Russia. Let's open it up!
