WikiAfrica in Malawi has developed a series of initiatives promoted in the frame of WikiAfrica by the Africa Centre. In 2013 a specific WikiAfrica Malawi project was promoted by the Africa Centre and supported by the Prince Claus Fund: Activate Africa (Prince Claus Fund). The person chosen to lead this initiative in 2014 in Malawi is Michael "Muti" Phoya.
Partnerships and institutions involved
[edit ]In the frame of Share Your Knowledge: Creative Commons and Wikipedia for Cultural Institutions a series of institutions have been involved to release content related to Africa and contribute to WikiAfrica. The institutions are mainly working in the arts, cultural heritage, media and heritage fields. They include:
