Scoltire : sockpuppet of James 4

James 4 (talk · contribs) is blocked globally for crosswiki sockpuppettry. But another account has been blocked today on wp.fr : Scoltire (talk · contribs) after this this positive checkuser request. Thanks for your help. ——d—n—f (talk) 17:19, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

A filter for the text Q4162800

Hello,
Is it possible to create or modify a Global Abuse filter to avoid the addition of the text Q4162800? I have noticed that one or several IP users are adding this text on several projects (without being active long enough to start a discussion):

I suppose that it is linked with these globally blocked accounts:

And I suppose that the following account should be prevently blocked: Aekqw13Q416280085 xwiki-contribs • xwiki-date (alt) • ST • IP info • WHOIS • robtex • gblock • glist • abuselog • bullseye .

@NicoScribe: We can write a filter, though it won't work on numbers of the major wikis, eg., enWP, Commons, deWP, (削除) Wikidata (削除ここまで) are not covered by global abuse filters. A couple of the bigger wikis have chosen to have filters apply. A filter could be shared among wikis if they so choose. Requests for global blocks should be lodged at SRG — billinghurst sDrewth 00:33, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: You deserve a double thank-you . I was unaware that some wikis were not covered. It seems that Global AbuseFilter/Opt-out wikis is obsolete so: is there another list of these "Opt-out wikis" somewhere?
Well, the activity has slowed since November 10, and the wikis with the heaviest Q4162800 activity are not covered by global abuse filters, so I suppose that this request can be closed. I will try to keep monitoring the activity and, if necessary, I will ask for local abuse filter on these projects. --NicoScribe (talk) 11:46, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
I mis-spoke about Wikidata, as it is covered by filters, however, due to the way that some editing works in the main and Property: nss (more through API than traditional wikiediting), the abuse filters works somewhat differently at that wiki in those namespaces. Other namespaces will have standard abuse filters working, eg. spambots in user: ns will be detected. — billinghurst sDrewth 20:48, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

The IP listed above are not alone, you can find many other IP just by searching 571886/6886 in the summaries of edits by w:fr:Spécial:Contributions/105.235.0.0/16, w:fr:Spécial:Contributions/105.102.0.0/16, w:fr:Spécial:Contributions/105.100.0.0/16, w:fr:Spécial:Contributions/105.99.0.0/16, w:fr:Spécial:Contributions/105.98.0.0/16... I am making this request following a discussion on the French Wikipedia: w:fr:Wikipédia:Le Bistro/9 novembre 2017#Chiffres bizarres .

During my request #A filter for the text Q4162800 , I have learned that some major wikis are not covered by global abuse filters. But I still request this global abuse filter, which will be useful for WP_ar, WP_fr and small wikis.
