@Legoktm: Having had a quick look, it seems it doesn't filter against groups at all. I agree that confirmed would be an appropriate group to exclude - do all projects use this group (or a variant, ie. autoconfirmed?) - TNT ^❤ 08:50, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi! I'm the alternate account of w:user:Enterprisey on ENWP. I seem to be getting the "You have made too many recent login attempts. Please wait 2 days before trying again." message way too frequently. You should approach enwiki for a solution to your login and edit issues. If you have issues on wiki, then you may look to use their UTRS block resolution process. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:28, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

I'm not sure that they could do anything about it, seems to be more software-side to me. @Enterprisey-alt: you could open a phabricator ticket, and maybe get some more information about the login attempts and what can be done regarding your account. – Ajraddatz (talk) 05:37, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Ajraddatz I think that it is something that the local community needs to work with the user; see w:file:355-failed-attempts-2018年01月15日.png there is a deeper problem here which the user has not expressed. A phabricator alone is not going to solve the issue when there is other components in play. Looking at the other accounts suggests that we have something else trying to login, so the community should probably assist the user. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:57, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

It's a technical issue. You could inform the local community about the issue, but I don't see how a local admin on enwiki's UTRS could do anything about it. – Ajraddatz (talk) 06:12, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Alright, I seem to be able to log in now on enwp. It also works when I log in on meta. A Phab ticket sounds like a good idea, and I will open one if this issue comes up again. Regarding what billinghurst suggested, I have re-enabled that notification and I haven't gotten any login attempts for over two weeks, so I should be good on that front. Thank you all for the advice! There is a massive vandal attack at w:udm today. I marked several pages for deletion, but pretty much everything created by IP users today is vandalism. I am not a global admin, and help is needed. The subject appears to be a young journalist/artist with a local presence only (CA WP/ES WP), and the Wikidata item d:Q19299759 is poorly sourced.
