A subspace transmission was a type of subspace communication that was unidirectional.
During a conversation with the Bajoran Sirco Ch'Ano in 2369, Nog scrambled the subspace transmission by using an engineering tool so visual communication was impossible. Sirco believed that a subspace interference affected the signal. (DS9: "Progress")
After Odo established a subspace link to Kora II for medical records, Jadzia Dax informed him that Gul Dukat had responded to Odo's earlier subspace transmission requesting his attention. (DS9: "Duet")
