How to display video files (mkv, wav, mp4 etc) within a TKinter widget?

I found (mostly fairly old stuff) some questions and a lot of (apparently often not working) Python code.
1. does TKinter offer such thing out of the box?
2. or is there another way using TKinter?
3. or do I need another GUI tool (e.g. QT) for this?
