Another solution, probably better:
def unlink(filename):
 try:
 os.unlink(filename)
 except OSError:
 if os.name == 'nt':
 try:
 os.rename(filename, filename + ".deleted")
 os.unlink(filename + ".deleted")
 except OSError:
 pass
