I'm sure we'll run before+after benchmarks (at least pystone + pybench) on a variety of boxes, and record the results, before it's over. Many speedups won't be reflected in that (e.g., major struct-module speedups & enhancements, various string->integer speedups, major psyco speedups, ...).
