netbsd-help: mb_map full? eh?

Hi.
 My 486/66 16M 500MB SCSI II Gateway VLB machine is running 
 NetBSD-1.0 (used to be -current, but I had to reconfig...).
 Now and then (meaning "for no *apparent* reason") the machine
 tells me that
 Jul 3 09:40:52 ferratti /netbsd: mb_map full
 Just curious as to what this means.
