Working issue in Protege

Hi,
I am a new user of protege for ontology creation and am using Protege.
I was wondering if this is the correct platform to ask this question? if
not it would be appreciated if I could be directed appropriately.
My question is
I am having issues running pellet reasoner on an ontology(semsur.owl from
https://github.com/saidfathalla/SemSur). After loading it in protege
software, the reasoner gets stuck in initialization and does not finish.
Any hint on diagnosing this issue would be helpful.
