Hello, I am not sure where this would be implemented in a future standard since it impacts many aspects, however I have noticed from this being implemented at my work that I have trouble visually with pages that are following WCAG. I have an astigmatism (very common) and now possible corneal edema (less common) - my night vision like many with the former is terrible, so some "high contrast" content if light text on a dark background is hard for me to read due to doubled text, halos, etc. I feel like this common visual issue is missing from the current standard and there is no reason for it not to be added - just requiring a "light mode" would be enough in many cases. Or to get more specific, find a set point between dark background and light text and recommend not going past a certain difference between the two. Thank you, Sarah Over
