Hello Forum,
I have huge Problems with the grafics card mentiones above. It is the onboard
card in a ML310 Server, so I cannot unmount it :)
The system is a Linux Fedora Core 5 with the Xorg 7.0 and standard radeon
drivers.
When reaching runlevel 5 the screen gets dark and the server doesn't react on
any keyboard input (CTRL-ALT-F# oder CTRL-ALT-DEL).
When connecting via ssh from an other computer I realize that the X-Server
runs mad (output of top):
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 2662 root 25 0 27532 4536 3264 R 99 0.2 0:30.36 Xorg
see the 99% (sometimes even 150%, because of dualcore).
Output of /var/log/Xorg.0.log at the end
.....
(**) Option "XkbVariant" "de_nodeadkeys"
(**) Keyboard0: XkbVariant: "de_nodeadkeys"
(**) Option "CustomKeycodes" "off"
(**) Keyboard0: CustomKeycodes disabled
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Keyboard0" (type: KEYBOARD)
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse0" (type: MOUSE)
(II) Mouse0: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded
(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine...
(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine...
(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine...
and the last lines repeating forever.
The server doesn't even react on the reboot or halt command and I have to
switch it off. Is this a known problem??
Thanks,
Hartmut
