Bug Description
When you richt click on an icon on Plank, the application quicklist opens, when you left click on the same icon, the application icon turns grey but no quicklist displayed.
If you first right click on app in plank and then left click, it should open the app, not try to display the quicklist menu.
elementary OS Luna (Stable), Plank version 0.3.0
When that bug happens, no information is displayed in terminal, even not in "-d" mode.

A left click on an application item never opens the menu. A right click will show the menu which contains elements provided by plank, the static desktop-actions and dynamic quicklists *if* available. The application *must* be running to provide dynamic quicklists.
@Rico: I think the bug submitter is talking about an actual bug, where if you open the quicklist and then left click on the icon instead of launching it turns grey (like the menu is being shown, but no menu is shown).
I can not reproduce this bug.
- under specific circumstances application icons will stay grayed out Edit (1.3 MiB, video/mp4)
I can reproduce this bug under Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS with LXDE/Openbox/
As you can see in the attached screencast, the issue only occurs if you don't move your cursor away from the application icon before right-clicking again.
