Deno Gets a Company, Some Money, and a Distributed VM — The folks behind Deno (the secure JS/TS runtime project founded by the original creator of Node.js) have raised 4ドル.9m and formed a company to help push it further forward, including plans to hire more full-time engineers. They've also unveiled Deno Deploy, a 'globally distributed JavaScript VM' of sorts. Exciting times are afoot for them.

Announcing TypeScript 4.3 Beta — It dropped on April 1 but it was no joke. Notably, 4.3 introduces a override keyword to make it clear when you’re overriding a method rather than adding a new one. There are also template string type improvements, and methods and accessors can be given #private names.
