Presentation: Understanding React.js
React.js has become one of the top players in the JavaScript libraries world. Drupal is planning to adopt the library to create admin interfaces. WordPress has rebuilt its WYSIWYG editor using React.
This session aims to explain the basic concepts of React outside of the context of any particular CMS implementation. Throughout the presentation, a static site will be converted into a dynamic React application. Along the way, you will learn about different concepts and the process of working with React. Many examples will be presented to help you understand it works and why it is so powerful.
No previous experience with React.js is required. Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript syntax suffices.
