As websites are adopting a more inclusive approach, accessibility auditing and monitoring are becoming imperative. Though in-depth testing will still need to be done from time to time, building Pa11y testing into your standard development process allows you to quickly catch bigger problems or check for the overall ‘health of a site’. Learn how to utilize this tool to streamline your efforts.
Jason Cortes started gaining a passion for design while working with accessibility experts and learning first hand about user needs while working as a developer for the region's largest healthcare provider in upstate New York. For the last 5 years, he has worked as a training specialist, and organizational developer, in addition, having an extensive background in full stack application development and system administration. In 2012 he helped found the Albany UX User experience group (http://www.albanyux.org), and actively facilitates training of accessibility/universal design topics. He has guided many application and website owners toward creating engaging/user-centric websites and applications, with the goal of helping users gain efficiency by facilitating lean methodologies.
