I would like to invite you to submit a 60 minute proposal for our call for papers at DrupalCon New Orleans, which is the largest annual gathering of Drupal developers, business professionals, and technology enthusiasts in the world.

DrupalCon is the flagship event of the Drupal community, and will be held this year in the lovely city of New Orleans. Our event is held May 9-13, 2016 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. We anticipate as many as 3,500 Drupalistas will join us this week to help celebrate and grow the Drupal project.

This conference has hosted a variety of well-known names in the new media and technology ecosystem, complementary to the Drupal platform, our community values, and strategic to advancing the project.

Speaking at a DrupalCon is considered a volunteer contribution to the Drupal project, just like submitting a patch to core, answering questions in the support forums, or organizing a meetup or camp. The deadline for submitting sessions is coming up soon - Monday, February 29.

DrupalCon is jointly produced by the Drupal Association, a nonprofit dedicated to growing Drupal, an open-source CMS project, and by passionate volunteers around the globe. Any revenue from DrupalCon is put back into our community, in the form of grants, infrastructure, education, and advocacy.

Because it is open source, all improvements made to the Drupal project and community are done so by volunteers who contribute their time and resources -- and we hope you’ll see how fantastic Drupal is, and want to volunteer a bit of your time, too.
