September's DrupalYOW meet up will be a great opportunity for developers to learn more about applications for the upcoming Drupal 8 release.
With the full release of Drupal 8 quickly approaching, Chris Smith, CEO of OPIN Software, will be leading a presentation explaining a VM for local Drupal development, built with Vagrant + Ansible.
The Drupal VM project aims to make building a simple local Drupal test/development environment incredibly quick and easy, and to introduce new developers to the wonderful world of Drupal development on local virtual machines (instead of crufty old MAMP/WAMP-based development).
OPIN will be hosting the DrupalYOW Meetup in collaboration with the Ottawa Drupal Association. Whether you’re Dries Buyteart himself or just a part-time dabbler in the Drupal world, all are welcome. We intend to have a drink, share some knowledge, make friends, and hopefully learn some new things on the way!
