Background
You may ask why at all this document exists... Read a short explanation:
We decided to fix all user group meeting dates as soon as possible for the whole year 2009. If you're interested you can note them all down in your calendar and avoid conflicts.
If we would publish them as events by now (january) there would be nothing more than the date. Readers would receive many almost empty event notifications and later on they possibly wouldn't notice an update.
Publishing rules
For the public audience of this group we need a clear flow in chronology, a useful user notification and the communication tools to improve attractivity. Therefore we decide to
- Publish DUG meetings one month in advance as an event on groups.drupal.org.
A clear publishing timeline on the start page of the group results.
Please always publish events considering this timeline. - Communicate in local language for a specific group.
Audience for the Zurich meeting is local so all publishing will be German.
Audience for Switzerland Business Strategies is global so all publishing will be English.
