High Performance

A major issue about scalability with Drupal for authenticated users is the performance issue on a 2-tier architecture (database on a separate instance on the same network).

Can you please confirm or deny my assumptions here?

• Even with a very fast connection between servers (AWS same Availability Zone), there is a small round-trip time between servers (around 0.5ms)
• Typical Drupal page takes hundreds of queries to generate (cache disabled).
• Latency for each query is added up in the page generation time.

I have a D7 site with 3 800 000 nodes. Did a small module to optimize the DB queries which solved my DB performance issues. Now I face another challenge which is Post-execution time too big. I turned off all modules and there are no errors reported in the log. The case is that I have a block view with several attachments to it. The first attachment takes too long during Post-execution phase. It has nothing to do with the attachment itself. If I rearrange the attachments the new attachment happened to be first has the same issue while the attachment that used to be first works fine.

Hi all, I am using the MMenu library for both the Navigation and User menus. I've noticed that sometimes, depending on connection speed and browser, the Navigation Menu appears unformatted briefly before the page load. I am not using the MMenu module instead have embedded it directly in my theme. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi there,

My company needs some help creating the web.config file to make it work with boost and boost mobile ( https://www.drupal.org/project/boost_mobile ).

Both modules worked great while the server was Apache, but out client decided to move it to one with IIS.

If anybody has any template for this that worked on the past it'd be great.

Also, we are willing to pay somebody to do this. It's a rush job, so it has to be done today (9:17am here right now).

has anyone used Headless drupal with Node.js? I'm thinking of converting فروشگاه ساز to headless drupal for ease of adding content and managing our landing pages.

this way I can even manage multiple sites (i.e. our landing pages/ blogs/ etc.) from one Drupal instance whilst keeping the frontend flexible.

What would be the ideal server size in terms of CPU and memory to handle around 500K visitors per month with an average of 8 page views per visitor. This would generate 4M page views per month.

The website is a dynamic classified ads website built on Drupal 7.54, PHP 5.4.44, MySQL 5.5.42.

In addition to this the system will handle the creation of the classified ads submited by authenticated users.

An average page will have 1.6MB in size and 180 requests.
