Be able to access games folders and files #237

In the same way we can access our files and folders in our Steam PC, it would be nice to be able to access the files and folders of our GameNative games. That way, if there is any problem, we can back up game saves and configs or manually transfer them in case Cloud Sync does not work

This is a good feature I also hope is implemented.

Isn't this already possible? Does "Open container" fit your needs?

True! Didn't know I could. Had to check where they were. My games are in A: and then to extract things I had to copy them to D: (which will show later in Downloads on my device).

Actually this is needed in more cases than this, since the data folder can't be accessed since Android 13+, there's serveral reasons we should be able to access Gamenative data folder including:

  • If you both loose steam, gog and locally installed games and you're able to only rebuild steam games the other containers/prefixes aren't showing up and take uneeded space.

  • If you delete an externally installed steam game or local game before uninstalling it in Gamenative, the prefix/container space isn't freed.

  • If your prefix/container list is corrupted by installing a game (happened to me twice already)

Another use case would be save backup using tool like syncthing for game without functional cloud save

That would so useful transferring save files or even modding games.
Right now I'm developing Continuum Explorer Memories file manager that has build in Game Save Manager. It would be amazing to add GameNative containers/game/saves location to make easier for user transferring files!
Right now GameNative uses data/user/ directory and even /storage/emulated/0/Android/data would help dramatically to be accessible to manipulate files! Strange that isn't implemented yet and still creates /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/app.gamenative/files/wine_logs directory?
