Alaska is part of the GSoC 2026 as a mentor organization!
We are excited for our 3rd year with Google Summer of Code.
We had a successful GSoC 2025 with 8 contributors and GSoC 2024 with 4 contributors.
Looking forward to working with many of you this summer (and beyond)!

@Ramzan-Khan-786 thanks. There is no "project owner." We are just a group of researchers largely based in Alaska, working on projects that are impactful and critical for Alaska. :)

Hello everyone, I’m Aviral Dwivedi, an undergraduate student from India with a strong interest in AI and systems development. While I’m new to open source, I’m not new to building, ’ve worked extensively with Python (DSA & OOP), Machine Learning, and web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’m particularly interested in writing clean, scalable code and understanding systems deeply. Outside of tech, I’m passionate about fitness, nutrition, health, and spending time in nature, which keeps me disciplined and focused. I’m currently exploring Alaska’s codebase and look forward to contributing thoughtfully to the community.

Hello everyone,
My name is Kartikey Tripathi, and I am a 3rd-year Computer Science student at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra, India. I am a Java backend developer with a strong interest in open-source development.
I am participating in Google Summer of Code this year and am excited about the opportunity to contribute to this project. I find the goals of the project very interesting and would love to get involved by exploring the codebase, understanding the architecture, and contributing to issues.
I look forward to collaborating with the community, learning from the maintainers, and making meaningful contributions to the project.
