Description

Summary

In SourceGit 2025.25 and above, I can see dots in the tabs of each Git project.

For example, there is a blue dot in the tab in this screenshot, next to the Git project folder name:

Blue dot on tab

The problem is:

  • I don't know what they are.
  • I cannot see an option to turn them off.
  • They use up some space on the tabs, which reduces the space to display the Git project name.
  • Sometimes the dot is not shown. I'm not sure what the expected behavior is for when they are displayed or not.

Feature requests and possible solutions

  • What does the dot mean? Could you please add some documentation about it, for example in the project Readme.md file, and in the SourceGit settings screen.
  • What do the different colors mean? Sometimes it's blue, sometimes it's gray. Please add some documentation for the different colors.
  • How can I turn them off? Could you please add an option in the Settings screen to switch it off or on, because it uses up space on the tab, and I don't know what it means.
