No American regions? #62
Hi, Looking at my own podcast, as well as the example provided on op3.dev, it seems like there is data shown for specific regions/cities within canada, south america, europe, etc, but none in the USA. is there a reason for this? am i missing something?
my podcast is still small and mostly consumed by USA residents and i'd like to shoutout their cities if possible.

Hmm, there used to be... I think what's going on is that our cloud provider recently switched their underlying request info provider, and is no longer sending DMA metro codes, which were used by OP3 to populate the "Top US Regions" box.
I've confirmed with them that this is likely never coming back, so let me think about how to bring back either a city or computed metro region box for the US again.
If you "export" your downloads at the bottom of the page, you can see US states, which is something, but metro codes would be better.
I may be able to find a zip code -> metro code lookup table (not perfect, but closer to before)

Ok Mr Pickle Master, I was able to find a zip code -> metro code lookup table, so the metroCodes are flowing again for US downloads. You can see them right away in the download exports (screenshot below) starting sometime yesterday, and the "Top U.S. Metros" box which includes their descriptions like "Los Angeles" should appear on the show stats pages once there is enough data in the pipe.
Thanks again for the heads up

... and now that the new month has rolled over, you'll start to see them in show stats pages again
