xbuild's dependencies have since published new versions, include important bugfixes and security patches.

When can we update xbuild to enjoy these enhancements?

Note that the API's have unfortunately introduced some breaking changes in years past, including for apple-*, rsa, and other crates.

I spent a couple hours poking at it, in case that helps.
