Does this tool do any write verification? #999

What happens in this scenario:

1. I am on Windows, mounting a directory on a remote Samba share (it could be NFS too if I spend time on that)
2. I open a text file in Notepad++ and make changes
3. I save the file manually (CTRL+S)
4. I close the text editor

Can I assume that if I made it to step 4 without getting an error popup at step 3, then that certainly means the save was successful on the remote side? If my internet cuts off 1 second later, no chance of data loss?
