Scroll accidentally zooms when pressing cmd for locking patch #2346

Open

Description

This is a small thing, but it happens to me a lot (maybe because of how i'm used to patch in Max, haha).

There is some easing on the scrolling (i'm using trackpad with fingers) when navigating throughout the patcher, which is fine and helpful.

But, when I scroll to some place in the patch, and want to use CMD+E or CMD+Click to lock the patcher, it happens to me a lot that I'm accidentally zooming in/out (depending on the scroll direction I used) because of the easing that is still running. Depending on the speed of my scroll the accidental zoom can be quite a lot as well.

I think it would be good that, when you scroll, and stop scrolling with your fingers, the easing is there, but as soon as you press CMD, the easing gets cancelled.

Curious to hear if others experience this as well, maybe it's just me.
